Our history

AN 85-YEAR STORY THAT MADE HISTORY

The PREO story started in 1938, when Mr. Antonio Preo founded “Officine Meccaniche PREO” as a producer of precision and measuring instruments.

During 1960s, the Company became a European leader in high precision components for the medical, optical, aeronautical and military industry.

In the 1990s PREO undertook a challenging and exciting new adventure: to orient all their qualified experience and know-how to become the leading designer and one of the best producers in the world of high quality innovative hot-melt adhesive systems.

Today, PREO products are successfully used by blue chip companies all around the world.

1938 The beginning

Antonio Preo founds the “Officine Meccaniche Preo”, starting the production of calibres and precision instruments.

1960 Leader in Europe

The Company becomes a European leader in high precision components for the medical, optical, aeronautical and military industry.

1990 Glue Application Systems

The Company changes its name to PREO Srl and specialises in design, production and commercialisation of thermoplastic adhesives and makes gluing equipment with its own brand.

2018 International market

Preo (now 3rd generation) continues to grow and expand internationally, becoming a reference point in the world market and a leader in innovation and quality products.
